I have written this so that you can know who I am before we meet. When you are deciding who will handle your case after an accident, you should know the background of the person you are trusting with it.
I moved to Las Vegas in 1975. I graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in 1983, earned my undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego in 1987, and graduated from Whittier College School of Law in December 1995. I am licensed to practice in Nevada, in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
I am AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, their highest rating for ethical standards and legal ability, and I am listed in Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers. I served two terms in the Nevada Legislature. In 2006 the State Bar of Nevada gave me its Access to Justice Award. In 2019 the Nevada Justice Association, the association of lawyers who represent injured people in this state, named me Consumer Advocate of the Year.
I am an Adjunct Professor of Law at UNLV's Boyd School of Law, where I teach Trial Advocacy and Opening Statements and Closing Arguments. In 2021 and again in 2026, I was named adjunct professor of the year.
My focus in representing anyone who has been injured in an accident is to do everything possible to obtain the very best result for you. I try to be accessible, but I am sure you can understand there are times, especially in trial, when I am not immediately available. He didn't just practice the law. He wrote some of it.
A passenger died on a paratransit vehicle because the driver had not been trained in CPR. Ozzie took the case, and then took it to Carson City, sponsoring the bill that now requires that training.
He sponsored legislation to expand who is called for jury service, so that juries in Clark County look more like Clark County.
